linux-2.0 port?
We still have some old machines running on linux-2.0. We would like to put all
of them together on a single Xen box.

Will linux-2.0 ever be ported to Xen? Or is there already some work in progress?

I think a 2.0 port is unlikely. We track the latest 2.4 and 2.6 kernels but
there was never a port of 2.0.

Since moving the servers onto one machine will represent a bit of a
configuration change, perhaps you could upgrade the kernel at the same time?
You may find it Just Works. You wouldn't strictly need to update the
modutils, etc, since all the Xen stuff is built directly into the kernel.

With VT-enabled hardware going on sale in a few months you should be able to
run an unmodified Linux 2.0 under Xen, albeit with lower performance than a
partially or fully Xen aware solution.

Cheers,
Mark
