Have you installed Twisted? (make install-twisted or get the package for your
distro).

What is your root filesystem type? Have you built support for it into the
kernel?

Well, yes I have installed Twisted. And with yum I installed everything
depending automatically.
My root file system is ext3, I think... (sorry: hardcore newb)

I re-installed Twisted a few times, and after a while I got an
error-message like this:

[root@oldguy ~]# xend start
