[Wikimedia-l] Re: Feedback invited on proposed requirements for affiliates & user groups recognition changes

I like the concept of adjusting requirements and processes to improve the
creation of Affiliates. I am concerned that by placing the opportunity on
hold while discussions take place, we know from experience that such
reviews tend to drag out a lot longer than planned.

Just stopping opportunities like this are counter productive to expanding
the community, surely there must be away for new groups to at least submit
an EOI to be recognised and get support they need as other WMF functional
opportunities like funding cycles wont wait for this part.
