I apologise - I seem to have misread a bit.

Created by original user, in a one-sentence stub, edited by "main
user". Moved by a third user, lots of edits, then the most recent two
are cosmetic (I think) edits by a fourth.

Otherwise, all content - including what appears to be the offending
paragraph - is by our friend the main user. We have one registered
user who's edited the page at all since the POV stuff went in. I
wouldn't be crying "collapse of Urdu wiki" yet.

this guy argued that if you are against Qur'anic verses in the Sitenotice
means you are against Qur'an.

to translate and post both? I think we need to at least open
discussion on the wiki as we're just repeating ourselves here on the
list, it seems.

general agreement to remove the Qur'anic verse
from the Sitenotice but to display it on the main
page in any case. There is still an argument going on
in favour and against this new proposition.

I would say that the Main Page is almost as bad as the MediaWiki
message space (though not quite). It is still quite an official page
for Wikipedia and should, like all pages, remain unbiased.

There is a general consesus at the Urdu wiki to remove the Qur'anic verse from the
Sitenotice. Nobody opposed it. Some Steward should do it now,
because the admin we contacted and who could
do it has gone Inactive and refuesd to do it himself.
This was the part of the last message by him:

"I think Quranic verses from site notice should be removed.
since it is a disputed issue im not going to remove it myself."
