I'm running Xvnc on my office Ubuntu box, allowing connections only from
localhost, then connecting via ssh with port forwarding. The office
firewall allows connections only via port 22 (ssh). So that works when I
can use port 22.
My problem comes when I'm riding on MegaBus -- they have WiFi, but they
block port 22. They allow only ports 80 and 443. That's pretty lame, but
that's the deal.
I can't change the firewall settings in my office or on MegaBus, but I do
have an Ubuntu box at home with a fast broadband connection, both ways, so
the obvious plan is to connect to the home machine via port 80 or 443 and
from there connect to the office machine via port 22. I'm not sure how
this can be done.
Any ideas?
Mike
