Problem:
I want to be able to send from account "myself@hotmail.com" whilst
pretending to be sending from "me@myself.com". Can SPF records handle this
without allowing <anyone>@hotmail.com to also send as if "me@myself.com"?
I get the impression that "exists" can somehow achieve this but I've failed
to find any definitive examples how how this could be achieved.
--- Update ---
Having read about exists and macros and thought about this, is one way to
have the ISP for myself.com set-up the following DNS A record...
myself.hotmail.myself.com 127.0.0.1
And then use macros and the "exists" clause in an SPF record to convert the
sender into the "domain" above. This can then be used to validate that I am
sending, and not someone else.
the macro and exists clause in the SPF record would be something like...
-exists: %s.$o.myself.com -all
Is this correct?
Thanks for any help,
Paul DS.
