OK, for the most part an IP4 only implementation can ignore IP6 stuff,
except for dual-cidr-length. But here is an interesting case.

Should an IP4 connect ip be translated to the equivalent IP6 address (I
forget the prefix) for SPF matching? Very little light in RFC 4408,
Perhaps RFC 3513 tells us more?
