Run away spamd processes
I'm having problems with runaway spamd processes causing high load even though I only process mail that is less than 250k. The processes will run forever (or until I kill -9 or restart the spamd).

It causes very high load on my spamd system. Is this a known issue?

# uptime
07:34:16 up 27 days, 16:32, 2 users, load average: 8.61, 8.58, 8.54

# rpm -q spamassassin
spamassassin-2.44-11.8.x

Will upgrading to the lattest version fix this? Please assist. Thanks.

I have reported this problem on a small number of occasions on behave
of $DAYJOB. No explanation so far, except to limit the size of
messages scanned. I have never seen it on my own domain though (yet?)
