I'm trying to install SpamAssassin 4.0 via CPAN but I always get
several errors like the ones below and it doesn't get to the end of
the installation. It's a fresh install on an Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS:
t/spamc_c.t ....................... spam_pid not found: Sleeping 5 - Retry # 19
Failed 1/2 subtests
t/spamc_c_stdout_closed.t ......... spam_pid not found: Sleeping 5 - Retry # 19
Failed 1/2 subtests
t/spamc_cf.t ...................... spam_pid not found: Sleeping 5 - Retry # 19
t/spamc_E.t ....................... spam_pid not found: Sleeping 5 - Retry # 19
t/spamd.t ......................... spam_pid not found: Sleeping 5 - Retry # 19
In version 3.4.6 the installation is normal.
