http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3400

Summary: Use of ASCII art to bypass spamassassin
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 2.63
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Rules
AssignedTo: spamassassin-dev@incubator.apache.org
ReportedBy: pandu_rao@yahoo.com

I noticed a new kind of spam that uses ASCII art to bypass filters.

This kind of spam the ratio of punctuation to non-punctuation characters is
disproporationately large. That's probably one way of filtering such e-mail.
