I've seen this, too, on a Linux box a few weeks ago. Loads of mail came in,
bombing the box to death. But as it was a production critical system, I didn't
have the time to investigate it :-/

i just had a redhat 7.3 system blow up on this.. running -m4 but it spawned 12
processes here...
