Summary: Static Route with (Next Hop == IP Address) doesn't come
back up
Product: Quagga
Version: 0.99.9
Platform: All
URL: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.network.quagga.user/8796
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Medium
Component: zebra
AssignedTo: maintainers@quagga.net
ReportedBy: daniel_ng11@lycos.com

I have 2 static routes configured as below in the zebrad:

ip route 1.1.0.0/16 ppp2
ip route 1.2.0.0/16 10.0.204.1

The interface ppp2 has a local IP of 10.0.204.2, and a remote IP of 10.0.204.1.

If I break the link on ppp2, both of the above static routes appear
as 'Inactive' in the local routing table.

If I then re-establish the link for ppp2, only the first route (1.1.0.0 via
ppp2) becomes 'Active' in the routing table. The second route still remains in
the 'Inactive' state.
