The incorrectly configured OSPF instance - can you confirm whether or not this
was Quagga?
Quagga ignores LOOPBACK interfaces, so your 'network ...' typo should never have
resulted in 127.0.0.1/32 being seen 'advertised' (least, not by a Quagg
instance). So it sounds like:
a) This problem originated with a non-Quagga router advertising a 127/8 loopback
interface in its router-lsa (due to a typo)
b) Quagga ospfd and zebra missed fact it was a 127/8 route
Can you confirm this is what happened?
