RFC for MX definitions
Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find it? (Or even better can you send it to me?)
I have a host to which about 1 out of 5 messages don't get through.
Their dns setup looks bad but maybe that's just me. I remeber something
about MX's not allowed to point to MX's and to CNAME's. Maybe you guys can
help me out. Here's the setup....

I want to send to user@foo.bar
host foo.bar gives me
pri=1 mx10.foo.bar
pri=10 mail.foo.bar
pri=100 blah.foo.bar

Now host mx10.foo.bar gives me the following.
mx10.foo.bar is a CNAME for mx11.foo.bar
mx11.foo.bar has an IP address and the following MX entry
pri=1 mx11.foo.bar
pri=100 blah.foo.bar

And mail.foo.bar has the following entry.
mail.foo.bar has an IP address and the following MX entry
pri=10 mx10.foo.bar
pri=100 blah.foo.bar

blah.foo.bar has an IP address and no MX records.

This looks very fishy.
Any idea?

Andi
