I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but it's driving me nuts.

I've setup qmail (v1.0) on a Linux (Debian) box.

Qmail delivers all external mail. But all local mail is just
queued up and can be listed with qmail-stat.

I've setup the Maildir in each users directory.

Check /var/log/messages (or a similar file) and look for error messages
there. Chances are you've got permissions set wrong on some file or
directory. (Hint: 'chmod 755 $HOME; chmod 600 $HOME/Mailbox'.)
