Feeling particularly capable after finding the hpux Configure glitch, I decided
to see why SDBM_File breaks everytime MakeMaker hits the Makefile again. On
line 2180 of MakeMaker.pm, part of the routine subdir_x, it spits out a line
of the form:
subdirs ::
\@ -cd $subdir && \$(MAKE)) all \$(PASTHRU)
Which is well and good, but apparently HPUX vanilla make can't handle space
between @ and -. No other extensions that I build use this, so it only bit me
on SDBM_File.
