I had some problems installing 5.001m on Solaris 2.4; various errors
including argument incompatibility with prototype (for time.h and
proto.h) and eventually it bombed out on undefined symbol sys_nerr in
pp_sys.c.
If it's likely to be helpful, I can pass on the transcript of the
install - but it's 1076 lines! Lemme know.
In the end, I decided to Configure -d and that went in rather
smoothly.
One final point - given that in the original (failing) install I chose
the Solaris 2 hints, I was a little bemused to be congratulated on not
running Eunice and being told that the system didn't look like
Xenix/Venix et al. Shouldn't the selection of Solaris 2 hints tell the
script what I'm running?!
