New Mailing List Post Policy
Hi all,
I'm back from a short vacation. Due to the virus problems reported last
week, I decided to 'close' the mailing list. Namely only those who
subscribed to the mailing list are allowed to post. This allows to
filter messages coming from infected people that send random messages.
The drawback is that you need to subscribe to the list in order to post
a message. Messages posted by people who are not subscribed are deleted
by the system. If some of you posted a message in the last days and then
subscribed, then it is likely that such message got deleted. In this
case, (I apologise for the inconvenient) you should post again.

I've asked the sys admin to install a virus scanner for sendmail. So far
the best I've been able to locate is www.amavis.org. If you have a
better alternative please mail *me* (not to everyone on the list) and
let me know.

Cheers, Luca

I was posting fine and then I get a message back saying I'm not on it
anymore. Then I get a reply back from the initial posting. Something is
screwed up.

Amavis works perfectly well. Mind that scanning virusses costs quite a
lot of CPU power. Here is a shellscript to update your virusdata:
