Magnitude 5.4 Earthquake in San Jose at 20:04 PDT

Not sure of the extent of any Internet-related outages, but my
cellphone service is out in San Jose (AT&T) and there are also
reports of landline outages.

It was centered between San Jose and Fremont, according to the map at
the USGS site. Life in Mountain View appears normal. Cellphone (AT&T)
and phone service and cable service seem ok.

AT&T/Cingular cellphone service is still unavailable here in the
San Jose/Milpitas area at 21:07 PDT.

Actually, it appears to be back up/available again.

It appears that re-registering with an active cell helped :-)
but there were multiple immediately cell outages reported, all
of which seem to have cleared now.
