I have never seen this problem. I have scanned allot of hosts.

1. what OS are you running the scanner on?
2. what is the exact version of the scanner?
3. how are you defining the scan? gui or command line? and how are you,
exactly, providing the list of targets to the scanner ?
4. what are your settings for max_hosts and and max_checks etc. ?

I'd also ask that you look at your list of 650 hosts and see if there
are any that could be malformed, i.e. two dots in an IP address and
things like that.
