Single host (or hosts) scan seems to hang
Greetings,

I'm running a client Nessus 3 (v3.2.1.1) on an XP SP2 box and going
against a FreeBSD6 v3.2.0 version of Nessus and the scan starts but
never stops (this against a single host, ms security bulletins and lasts
> 1 hour).

Anyone have an idea of why this seems to hang up?

Are you saying the scan lasts an hour, or that it never stops? I'm
not sure what your issue is. Are you concerned of the hour scan time
(this does seem high) or does the scan never actually finish?

Sorry, the scan never stops and does not progress past the last entry in
nessusd.messages: "launching ping_host.nasl against x.x.x.x"

Hi Joe,

Please try Nessus 3.2.1 for FreeBSD 7.0. FreeBSD 6 was not compatible
with with Nessus's process/thread management and we discontinued support
for it.
