Hi,
the plugin xmail_overflow.nasl gave me false positive when
it tested pop3s so I've modified it to make it not run against
a ssl session.
Is it right to submit patches at this address?

It's right, however the patch is wrong - it would prevent the test of
any kind of pop3 server running on top of SSL
