only black screen when running mythtv...
I think I have everything in now , but when I try to start mythtv as
mythtv user I get a black screen and the following in the
mythbackend.log:

Changing from None to WatchingLiveTv
Changing from WatchingLiveTv to none
2003-08-2003 23:05:58 adding: epia as a player 1
2003-08-2003 23:05:58 adding: epia as a player 0
2003-08-2003 23:05:58 adding: epia as a player 0
2003-08-2003 23:05:58 adding: epia as a player ringbuffer

What am I doing wrong?

I'm using a wintv pvr 250 rev 1 and the latest ivtv drivers from cvs.
I've done a cat /dev/video0 >test.mpg and it works so I'm assuming it's
got something to do with Mythtv

Any insights

thanks
anders

I can't get to the console where I start mythtv as I'm in X usinga
terminal and when he screen goes blak I have to ctl+alt+del to restart
the windowmanager.

Re: only black screen when running mythtv... [ In reply to ]
I just tried again and asked to have any output piped into a file and
from that I can now see the problem is that it's trying to switch to Xv
and can't find support for it.

When I try on and same hardware to run Freepia (I'm running on an epia
M10000 Nehemia) it works so maybe I just have to fiddle with the
Xserver.....
