Anyone using a SBLive (spdif) with mythtv?
When playing music (via spdif) the left & right channels on my digital
input amp go.
When watching TV only the right channel goes. I've checked that both
channels are present
by connecting some pc speckers to the line out of the soundcard. The
analog audio is timeshifted
relative to the spdif signal as it should be.

I'm using a Flyvideo 98 card (audio looped to line of soundcard), ALSA
0.96 and MythCVS.
Thankyou Isaac (or whoever) for fixing the New Zealand program listing
bug in mythfilldatabase.
Great software

Thanks
Graeme Woollett

My hand is up.

I'm using SBLive Premium with Alsa on a custom RH8 box. My audio connection
is via the Optical SP/DIF to my digital amp. I'm also using Myth from CVS.

First thing I would check is the integrity of the line in on the sblive.

secondly, check the integrity of the cable between the TV card and the
sblive.

Lastly, check that the output of the TV card is producing desired 2
channels.

Finally you might want to install some Speakers and ditch those 'speckers'.
I've tried them, and they never worked for me... ;-)

Regards,

Mark.

Hi all

I too am using a sblive value - alsa 0.96 2.4.21 kernel - no probs
pushing 30 feet to my entertainment center. Your probls sound like
hardware issues. I presume you've played with alsamixer? Using a mono
or stereo 1/8" plug (its a digital signal so you only need mono) ? Let
us know if you're still having problems. (two heads and all that).
