mythTV with Dial-up
I was wondering if anyone could point me to some resources on how to set up
MythTV when all I have is a dial-up connection. I guess I am looking for
ways to run a script to connect to my dial-up late at night and run
mythfilldatabase to populate the database (and maybe MythWeather), and then
disconnect. Any insight would be great. It has been 8 years since my
C/UNIX class in school and am pretty clueless on how to do this. Thanks for
your help!

What release are you using? In mandrake, once you have your modem
configured properly you can use 'ifup ppp0' in the begining of you script
and use 'ifdown ppp0' after the update is complete.
