Camera as second "tuner"??
How to set up a camera as a second tuner?

For that matter, how to allow input via anything other than tuner?

I have a PVR250 and a USB webcam, I was hoping to make work with myth. PVR250 did not have any issues when it was the only device, but when i connected the webcam I get nothing but black screen when I do watch live TV. If I configure PVR250 first I get it working, but I cannot switch to the webcam, not does PIP work.

What is the right way to hook up a "source" that does not have TV listings associated with it?

Thanks

If there are USB issues, providing a method to use a tcp/ip streaming feed as a
channel would do the trick

The webcam could be put on another box with streaming software and a LAN connection
could be used to access it's picture

Taking an ethernet feed as a channel input would also provide for internet TV (there
are some internet TV stations out there!)

This would be a really great feature !!

I too would be very interested in being able to do this. Mainly so I can
use picture in picture to see when the pizza guy arrives ;-)

While ability to add webcast streaming channels is nice, I do not think the
USB drivers are the issue here.

The drivers are standard V4L, and other V4L apps can connect to it just
fine. Furthermore MythTV Setup sees the camera and can id the input (well
input) of it as "camera" - the question is how to assign a "channel" to it?

MythTV sees my USB (pwc) camera just fine. I just set it up as I would
a s-video input to a tv card (setting default input to webcam)

Whenever My PVR-250 was in use it would fall back to the webcam.

How do you configure it in setup (sources?)

How do you manually switch between tuners? I tried keys.txt binding, did not
work

Re: Camera as second "tuner"?? [ In reply to ]
I just set it up to have the asme cable source as the tuner. It can't
change channels so it won't matter.

I never got it to manually switch between tuners. I believe Issac set it
up so it uses, the first tuner first and so on. I don't know how to do
Picture in Picture But it should work. DO you have the keybindings for this?
