openMosix and MythTV?
Has anybody tried running MythTV on an openMosix cluster? Their FAQ states
that (at least playback-) filters migrate easely. As far as I can see you
might want to setup your backend so it won't accept incomming processes
when recording so you wont starve the record thread when when another PC
starts some CPU instensice programs.

I tried, but for some reason I can't get the Pundit's ethernet drivers
to compile with the openmosix kernel installed.. pretty lame, too,
since I have a number of good machines on my network to help out.

I'll probably mess with it again at some point, especially if other
people have good results with it.

Have you tried clusterKnoppix ( http://bofh.be/clusterknoppix ) for a
start? The guy even provides deb's. Though it doesn't seem to work with my
SiS900 built-in network card, but I'm working on it.

I've now tried the newest version of clusterKnoppix and it works like a
charm, not that it seems to be very usefull on my P1-100 and XP2000+
network... It doesn't switch processes that fast to be of any 'speedup' use
for the P100.
