Hi!
You should now get your translations ready for the release of 0.26.
We are now in soft string freeze (once again sorry for the delay) and
the theme string extraction program has now been run to extract the
strings that come from the themes.
We will be accepting updates for your respective translation during the
RC phase but if you wish to make sure your translation are included in
the 0.26 release you should submit them as soon as possible.
Please don't forget to run lupdate before translating as instructed on
the translation page (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Translation) to get the
latest strings.
The work is far from complete but we have been adding translation
comment/disambiguation strings (in Qt Linguist these look the same),
merging strings which were cut in many parts and merged back together
and changing the translation context of some strings (instead of seeing
the strings for which this has been done under the QObject context they
will now appear under a better, more explicit, context).
The side effect of changing the translation context is that they are
marked as incomplete under the new translation context and must be
re-marked as complete. An easy way to do that is to sort by the
translation status (click on the header of the column that contains the
translation status) and go on the first string that must be re-marked as
complete (yellowed question mark) and type Ctrl-Enter which will mark
the translation as complete. Do this until you reach the end of the
entries which must be re-marked as complete.
You might also want to consider submitting locale files
(http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Locale_Configurations) for your respective
locales as well. We will make sure these get forwarded to the
appropriate developer.
Thank you very much for all your hard work!
