Version Selection
If memory serves, it used to be that myth versions incremented at a
snail's pace and so it was useful to run the dev version. Between
launchpad, ubuntuupdates, code.mythtv, and github I have ended up confused.

I'm using .27 and I'm inclined to think it works, so don't fuck with it,
but I can't find a place to get a (good) comparison between versions.

Do you guys have a recommendation?

Use the latest release+fixes.

So you want 0.27+fixes.

This is what you get if you use mythbuntu repos. Anyone on *buntu with
mythtv should do the same.

That is basically the stable version plus fixes that have been
backported from the dev version.

git master is called 0.28 in mythbuntu repos. Don't go there as you'll
be running experimental alpha/beta code.

Once 0.28 is actually released, change mythbuntu repos to 0.28 and
you'll get 0.28+fixes, and in the repo 0.29 will be master.
