Linux New Kernel

Hi,

I have added new kernel2.4.0 to my Redhat Linux6.0. Older kernel is 2.2.5. It has been compiled and installed without any errors. But while I am trying to reboot with new kernel(2.4.0) It is hanging with following message....

" Loading Linuxnew......
Uncompressing Linux....., ok, Booting the kernel..."

I have tried the same in Redhat7.0(2.2.16) also. But I am getting the same.

Note: I have used bzImage.

This doesn't belong on lvs-users. Please contact your distributor about this
issue.
