LinuxFailSafe news
Hi folks,

SGI is still diligently working the issues surrounding cleaning up and
releasing the Linux FailSafe code, and things are still going roughly
according to plan. Much of the remaining work is code cleanup for legal
reasons. As a result, SGI has decided to make some intermediate
snapshot binaries and supporting documentation available for you to play
with, and learn about.

They have in no way changed their plan to release source code for this
Linux FailSafe product. Since it's still a few weeks away, they decided
that folks might like to have a version to play with in the mean time.

Because it isn't a source release, they have decided to not post the
binaries on the web, but email them to individuals that want them.

So, if you want to experiment with Linux FailSafe, please drop an email
to owner-failsafe@oss.sgi.com.

The binaries will be made available in the first week of July. There
will be an announcement made by SGI on the linuxfailsafe@lists.tummy.com
mailing list.

Thanks!
