Hi Sri, Andy,
I'm happy to contribute time and effort to testing the AC3 functionality. I
current have the latest mainline version of the driver and I attempted to
test things today. It was unsuccessful and there appears, strangely, to be
a problem with the PTS in the TS when AC3 is used.
Before we delve a lot deeper in to the testing, can you confirm if AC3 audio
should in fact work at all with the current firmware? And if so, what the
optimal settings to test the various AC3/sound options would be?
I set the audio_encoding mode to 4 (AC3) and left the other things at
defaults. I'm not sure why the clock would suddenly go out of sync?
Perhaps there is a problem with the audio sample rate that is set?
As I said, if you can provide more visibility on what can reasonable be
expected to work with the existing firmware we have available, or provide
update firmware, I am happy to help.
