If you can retrieve files from this box, you could try to bootstrap a
cross-compiler on another box. I had some success bootstraping egcs 1.1.2 as
a cross compiler for various platforms (well, I didn't tried IRIX).

I general it is not a good idea to use a pre compiled thing from an
untrusted source. But if you are running it anyway on a box over
which you don't have control it doesn't matter too much.

I am pretty sure that there are some trustworthy folks out there,
who can offer you a IRIX binary.
