memory leak

There is a memory leak due to gcry_check_version.
Is this a known issue?
Will this be fixed in the future?
Could this be fixed using a __attribute__((destructor)) function?

Please explain. During initialization which gets triggered by
gcry_check_version a few one-time allocations are done. This should
not happen for the second call to gcry_check_version.
