Hi,
Recently (today) there was a mailing about new portage-2.0.51 unmerging
gcc. Happily i don't have such 'major' problem.
Just did 'esync' and after less then a minute if finished, such thing
had never happened to me till now - to get nothing new in portage for
quite a day time.
As a precaution went back to 2.0.51_rc9 which also has confcache patch.
My experience only.
