gentoo installation full from CD, without Internet
Hi...
I'm a very very newbie on gentoo. So I'm so sorry if my question too
basic for this maillist.
I tried to install gentoo 2004.2 in my computer from gentoo universal
live cd and x86 package cd, without network (Internet) connection.
I followed handbook-x86 instruction up to point 7b-"Installing the source".
Command: emerge gentoo-sources will (of course) connect to Internet to
download the sources.
How can I install the sources (kernel) without 've to connect to Internet?
I 've looked for some related informations in the Internet (alternative
install, quick install guide, maillist archives, etc) but I don't get
the answer.

Please help me. Thanks for your help.

the gentoo-dev-sources are on the universal cd, so no you will not need
to go out to the internet unless you want to install something newer.

You can also look for grp install in the docs. No network connection
is needed at all for it.
