Slow cursor after upgrade

After upgrading Xorg (I think) I've noticed my cursor behavior changed.
When I hit backspace key it paused for fraction of a second before
deleting the test.

Anybody has an idea how to change it?

Try to experiment with this:

xset r rate 200 60

200 is delay in ms before the autorepeat starts

more: man xset
