On all my versions of linux and my previous Gentoo, ctrl l cleared the
terminal screen and very usefull too :-)
On my new machine, new keypad etc it don't work ! in atrem or
ctrl-alt-f1,2,3 ...
First thought was keyboard mapping so I checked /etc/rc.conf, I have
KEYMAP="uk"
which looks OK, @ and | work OK which in my experience go awry if you
have the wrong keymap
Second thought that ctrl on my new keyboard sends the wrong code,
apparently ctrl h dels the last character, tried it & it dels the last
character so it looks like ctrl key is working ok.
I have just noticed that ctrl l copies the last line I typed - wierd :-\
Any ideas
Cheers
