kde 3.3 adding users
I have completed compiling Gentoo on my new PC including KDE 3.3

How do I add another user to the system for my wife.

I tried what I thought was the obvious 'kuser' & used the same group
settings as for my account, audio, wheel, users, games

However I get an error, can't find /etc/gshadow

Although the user is set up it is not avalible via the KDE login manager.

I am sure this is the route I took when I setup my first Gentoo machine.

Any suggestions

Dave

go to the command line

emerge superadduser
then run superadduser, the questions have fairly obvious answers...

this will set up a new user who will be able to log in to kde, or
console, or whatever.
