xorg-x11 emerge error
Hi all,
I'm trying to compile xorg-x11-6.8.0-r11 on a fresh setup gentoo box. but emerge is failing with the following error

I have gcc-3.3.4-r2 ..
Any idea what might be wrong?

Are you sure it's not bad RAM in the machine? Most of the time errors
like this are caused by bad RAM. Try running memtest86 on the machine
overnight and see what happens.

I haven't thought of that... will run it tonight and see what I find.
