If you're not running ~x86 versions of xorg, tune out now.
FYI,
I've had to disable xxcreensaver for now, because certain screensavers
now crash the X server. I did not encounter this behavior on 6.8.0 or
earlier xorg releases.
If you want to see this action, run xscreensaver-demo and select
atunel, blinkbox, or boxed. Follow this bugzilla if you have the
problem or if you can shed any light on the problem.
Using xscreensaver-4.16 and xorg-x11-6.8.0-r1.
