Hi List,
I was thinking of trying out mediawiki on my Gentoo system, and could
not find an ebuild to it, but I did find there was a defect in
bugs.gentoo.org for the ebuild:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37894
Can anyone tell me how long a submitted ebuild script takes to get
from bugs.g.o to "~x86" or "stable"?
On another note... say I can't wait for the gentoo developers to
approve the script, can I just run the script off my PC (in that
overlay directory) or would it be better I just download the tar ball
from http://wikipedia.sourceforge.net/ ? My motivation on this is the
http://gentoo-wiki.com/ site (as well as the wikipedia site -
http://en.wikipedia.org/ ) and how good it appears to look and work.
Any assistance or comments provided would be greatly appreciated...
