first sparc xperience
Hi there,

I have a Netra:

Netra t1 (UltraSPARC-IIi 440MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 3.10.25 ME, 384 MB memory installed, Serial #14309504.
Ethernet address 8:0:20:da:58:80, Host ID: 80da5880.

This server has no cdrom drive, nor floppy drive. So i've tried to use
netboot.

I have tried these images:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6708456 Mar 10 19:02 boot.img
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5409468 Aug 15 15:37
gentoo-sparc64-2005.0-20050413.tftpboot
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5409868 Aug 15 15:21
gentoo-sparc64-2005.0-20050717.tftpboot
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 51000 Aug 15 15:02 ofwboot.net

boot.img is a debian, gentoo* are.. hum.. ?
and the last one is an openbsd.

With all linux images i get:

Boot device: net File and args:
52ca00 Boot device: net File and args:
52ca00 Boot device: net File and args:
52ca00 Boot device: net File and args:
.. and so on... it doesnt want to boot on them!

with the ofwboot.net (openbsd) : no problem except the nfs server
doesn't offer anything for this host.
but it boot!

Try the latest experimental gentoo netboot sparc64 image from
http://dev.gentoo.org/~agaffney/sparc/misc/
You can also try upgrading the OBP to the latest available version for
your machine.

Thanks. I'll try this asap, and I'll tell you if it works.
