I'd move
media-libs/plib-1.8.3
to ppc stable profile. It includes useful headers that don't appear in
1.6.0. Furthermore, on bugs.gentoo.org this version seems not to have
bugs related. Also the ebuild referenced home page says it's the current
stable version.
