colors bad from qpkg
I thought I saw the answer to this posted somewhere, but can't find it.

when I run 'qpkg -I -v' instead of getting the nice colors I'm
accustomed to seeing in Linux, I get something like this:

x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mnano-1.3.3-r1 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mgentoolkit-0.2.0_pre8 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mgentoolkit-dev-0.2.0_pre3 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mdialog-0.9_beta20031207 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mwget-1.9.1-r2 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mgnuconfig-20040214 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mncurses-8.1 *x1b[0;0m

how do I fix it?
Thanks

qpkg is deprecated; use equery instead. Portage developers will not
fix any bugs related to qpkg. If you still want to use qpkg, apply
http://dev.gentoo.org/~usata/misc/qpkg-macos.patch. (but I strongly
recommend you to use equery)

ok, thanks, I wasn't aware that qpkg was being deprecated.

how do I list all installed packages with equery? I tried the obvious
'equery list -i' but that didn't work.

thanks

equery list \* should do the job, but it seems equery doesn't understand
packages listed in package.provided. I myself use `epm -qGa` (from
app-portage/epm) for that purpose, but I'll make a patch for equery if
no one else will fix it.

I'm sad that qpkg is being abandoned... it's a _very_ productive and
good tool...
and equery SUCKS!... the sintax isn't clear, and it doesn't have man
page, nor a goot help info... basically, am I supposed to "bruteforce"
equery with dozens of diferent comand line args to find out how to
list instaled packages, or depedencies of a given package?

Sincerely, qpkg should be fixed until equery shows to be _superior_ in
all aspects of qpkg...
