Not sure if you're the right person…
There seems to be a small error in the Gentoo Linux 2005.1 x86 Handbook.
In section 5.d Installing Portage from CD is asks the user to work with
the snapshots directory.
On the CD I downloaded from the Gentoo website, the directory is called
snapshot, not snapshots.
Forgive me if you're already aware of this. I know very little about
Linux and am following the instructions carefully - which are so far
excellent by the way.
