Question about drbd 0.5.8

I use drbd 0.5.8 as a module for kenel 2.2.19.

I'm now testing different scenarios, to see what happens. And I see the
folowing happeing : on a machine, I unload the module (to stop
everything) and when I reload it again, the gc is restored with the
value it had before unloading the module.

My question is : where was it stored while the module wasen't loaded ???

Look into the source. It remember it is somewhere under /var/lib/drbd.

They are stored in /var/lib/drbd/*

BTW, I can only advise you to use 0.6.1. To use 0.6.1 on 2.2.x you need
to use a patch like drbd/debian/kernel-export-wup.patch
