Rebooting a standalone primary failes
I know this has ben talked about recently and I just want to add my
experience.,,

root@example.com:~# cat /proc/drbd
version: 0.6.1-pre7 (api:58/proto:60)

0: cs:WFConnection st:Primary/Unknown ns:0 nr:483268 dw:954492 dr:3801

1: cs:WFConnection st:Primary/Unknown ns:0 nr:4 dw:8 dr:29 pe:0 ua:0
2: cs:WFConnection st:Primary/Unknown ns:0 nr:5 dw:16 dr:21 pe:0 ua:0

root@example.com:~# /sbin/shutdown -r now

Broadcast message from root (pts/0) Wed Nov 28 11:39:59 2001...

The system is going down for reboot NOW !!
root@example.com:~# logout

<WAIT FOR REBOOT>
<SSH INTO HOST>

root@example.com:~# /etc/init.d/drbd start
Setting up varnfs...[ OK ]
Setting up home...[ OK ]
Setting up office...[ OK ]
Do you want to abort waiting for other server and make this one
primary? no

This is the only machine, there is no other host to wait for. It was
Primary, but that is not remembered through the restart. What can I
change so this knows it primary and the secondary is dead?

Later, JOSH

I've seen something similar with pre7. It seems that, in some
situations, the script's default response to this question is "no".

It seemed that if I disabled heartbeat and ran
"/etc/rc.d/init.d/drbd start" then it would take this "no" answer
after inittimeout.

If I enabled heartbeat and rebooted, it was fine.
