3.1.17 and 3.2.1
Hi,

Can I upgrade to 3.2x, apply the SQL changes, and if something goes wrong,
can I remove the changes in SQL and put 3.1.17 again?

I'm having a problem with LMTPD that dies constantly in 3.1.17 L

Thanks,

did you see my tread from saturday with the junk mail containing a NULL
char and freezing dbmail-lmtpd until i removed it from the MTA queue?

Reindl,

Yes, but that's not related I can guarantee, I had silimilar problems in the
past (<2007) not just with lmtpd, but with clamproxy.
Not saying that I meanwhile receive an email with the null char and hit the
problem,

Ok one thing I forgot to change in my upgrade from 2.3.7~ was the
max_db_connections, just adjusted it to 10, had it in 90 :)
Let see if it helps in anything.

Anyway till now, imapd and pop3d seems to behave well, only lmtpd and
timsieved seems to had some issue.
This morming timsieved was filling my server with logs, saying that had too
many open files.

I may had a different behavior of openfiles in this version, going to check
my system on this setting.

I had it for both pop3d & timsieved.
Monitoring it to see the origin of it, anyway I had open files with just
1024, just raised to 4096.
How many open files do you have for it?

since it's a dedicated mailserver i have for all dbmail-services
"LimitNOFILE=50000" and for mysqld "LimitNOFILE=infinity",
"LimitMEMLOCK=infinity" and "OOMScoreAdjust=-1000"

"OOMScoreAdjust" is helpful if some Apple mail tries to store a by
mistake selected 3 GB video in the drafts folder until out-of-memory to
prevent oom-killer shoot mysqld

Hum I may raise it a bit more then.
In case I'm raising for the dbmail processes only, and confirming that it's
applied with a: cat /proc/`pidof dbmail-lmtpd`/limits
