That may not be wrong, depending on how you count events. An individual
'event' may have several 'VEVENT' in it, due to meeting instance
modifications.

Oh thanks for the precision, I'have counted the number of line contanining a SUMMARY: from the ics file.
and compared it to a select count(*) from caldendar_item where user_no = ...
